Isn't political correctness just another name for control freaking?

Personally I am against that mind-control credo called 'political correctness' or polcor. Its aim is to stunt freedom of thought and speech and to undermine common sense. I call a spade a spade and speak as I find and if something I say "offends" someone but is true or justified, then so be it. However, if what I say is untrue or baseless, then I apologize. Let's never forget that there is nothing so offensive as someone who, come what may, is determined to feel "offended".
